The situation
MegaTires sells tyres to the Romanian market. The existing megaanvelope.ro storefront was an ageing WooCommerce installation with enough customisation to be fragile and enough plugins to be slow.
What we built
Storefront
Product listing, faceted search and product detail on Next.js 16. Tyre search is dimensional rather than categorical: a customer is matching a specification, not browsing. Filter correctness and speed carry most of the value.
Ingestion
An admin surface for supplier catalogues, which arrive as spreadsheets with inconsistent conventions. Built as a reviewable process rather than a direct import, so a competent non-developer can run it and see what changed.
What mattered
A working store carries years of accumulated behaviour, some of it useful and some of it cruft. Telling them apart is a product question, answered by looking at what people actually searched for.
Outcome
Deployed to megatires.forktex.com through ForkTex Cloud, on Hetzner with Cloudflare DNS.

One Contract, Many Clients
A hand-written API client passes review because it works today. It has no link to the route it mirrors, so the next schema change leaves it quietly wrong.
Declarative Production
A repository should state how it runs in one file a machine can read. Otherwise every consumer of that fact re-derives it, and one of them is wrong.
