2. What this policy covers

This policy covers forktex.com — the pages you are reading, the contact form, and the chat assistant. It does not cover our platforms. ForkTex NetWork, ForkTex Cloud, and ForkTex Intelligence are provided to clients under separate agreements, each with its own data processing terms; if you use them, that agreement governs your data, not this page.

3. What data we collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

• Data submitted through forms: name, email address, phone number, company, message content
• Technical data: IP address, browser used, operating system, device information
• Conversations submitted through the website's chat assistant, processed through artificial intelligence services
• Statistical data: through Google Analytics, only if you accept non-essential cookies

4. Purpose of processing

Your data is used for:

• responding to inquiries submitted through the contact form
• sending you a confirmation email that repeats the message you submitted, so you have a record of it
• communicating with visitors and prospective clients
• improving the website and understanding how it is used
• complying with legal obligations

Processing is carried out based on:

6. Retention period

Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) are kept for up to 2 years or until you clear your browser storage; contact-form submissions are kept for up to 3 years. Email correspondence, including inquiries received at info@forktex.com and our replies, is kept in our mailbox for the same period.

Your data may be shared, under data processing agreements, with:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — server hosting and cloud infrastructure
• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — DNS and network routing for our infrastructure
• Zoho Corporation B.V. (Netherlands) — email hosting for info@forktex.com and delivery of our confirmation emails
• Anthropic, PBC (United States) — the AI models behind this website's chat assistant
• OpenAI Ireland Limited (Ireland) — the AI models behind this website's chat assistant
• Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) — website analytics (Google Analytics), only if you accept non-essential cookies
• Cabinet Expert Contabil Dochian și Asociații S.R.L. (Romania) — accounting and statutory tax filings
• Public authorities (Romania and the European Union) — where the law requires us to disclose

Anthropic and Cloudflare process data in the United States. Google and OpenAI contract through Irish entities but may transfer data onward to the United States. These transfers take place under the safeguards described in those providers' own data processing terms, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.

We do not use cookies for marketing or advertising. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

10. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, including restricted access to systems and encrypted connections (HTTPS).

11. Supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.

12. Children

This website is addressed to businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes. The date shown at the top of this page always indicates the version in effect. If a change materially affects you, we will say so clearly on the website rather than quietly editing the text.
